Thomas Michael Harasha

August 28, 1950 — March 16, 2022

Thomas M. Harasha of Sedona, Arizona passed away on Wednesday March 16, 2022 at the age of 71 after being diagnosis with Glioblastoma. Tom served in the 2nd Marine Division of the United States Marine Corps from 1969 through 1974. He quickly achieved the rank of Sergeant and was a radio operator for his platoon. He was awarded many medals during his tour, including the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry and the Navy Achievement Medal. During his return to the states to finish his enlistment. He married his high school sweetheart. They both were born in Lancaster, Wisconsin and met on a blind date at a high school basketball game. They were married for 51 years at the time of his passing. During their marriage they had 2 children. Angela and Travis.
Tom grew up on a farm with his brothers and sisters. They worked hard tending to the animals and crops. They enjoyed the typical sibling fun and “picking” on each other, and always loving each other. Growing up Tom enjoyed riding his horse “Champion” that no one else could ride. He also enjoyed spending time with Grandparents George and Clara Harasha. After he met his sweetheart they both would spend a lot of time with them because they would encourage them to talk about anything and everything. When their children became teenagers, their friends always wanted to spend time with Tom and Lee for the same reason.
Tom is survived by his wife, Lee (Kirschbaum) Harasha, daughter Angela (Harasha) Stanczak, her husband Mark Stanczak, and grandchildren Paul and Megan. He is also survived by siblings, Maryann (Harasha) Behncke, John Harasha, Steve Harasha, Jill (Harasha) Wadlund, Jim Harasha and numerous Uncle, Aunts and Cousins.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Dorothy (Garthwaite) Harasha, his sister Patricia (Harasha) Owen, and his son Travis Harasha.
Tom’s joy in life, besides being with family was landscaping and tending to his yard. He was the ever attentive steward of his home and the needs of others.
