Teresa "Terry" Louise Wiencek

August 14, 1959 — September 19, 2025

Teresa (Terry) Louise Wiencek, 66, of Sedona, passed away on Friday, September 19th, 2025. Terry spent 44 years married to her devoted husband Dan living a life of adventure and happiness. Terry was born in Huntsville, Alabama, but lived the majority of her life in Southern California and Powell, Ohio, where she and Dan raised their family.

Terry was an ambitious career woman, starting as a claims clerk and working her way up through the ranks to VP of Human Resources at Nationwide Insurance. She seamlessly balanced life as a working mom and served as a role model by effortlessly integrating her personal and professional worlds. After a successful 28 years spent at Nationwide, Terry retired in 2019.

Terry aspired to get a bigger picture of the world around her through traveling, hiking, and reading. She tapped into her creativity through photography, cooking, and throwing a great theme party. Many knew her for her beautiful singing voice and love of music. Her warrior mentality was an inspiration to many, particularly during her battles with ovarian cancer and as a champion for charities close to her heart.

She is survived by her spouse Daniel (Dan) Wiencek and their children Holly Wiencek, Laurel (Justin) LeBeau, and Timothy Wiencek; her granddaughter Penelope LeBeau; her mother Mary Lou Robillard; siblings Rev. Joseph Robillard, Cathy (Jim) Saladin, Thomas (Cathy) Robillard, John Robillard, and Daniel (Lisa) Robillard. Terry is preceded in death by her father, Ronald Robillard and her sister, Ann Robillard. Terry also leaves behind a large and beloved extended family of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

With a determined attitude, boundless love, and adventurous spirit, Terry brought joy, laughter, and strength to those who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was an inspiration to colleagues, friends, and family alike. Despite her dementia decline, Terry’s spirit carried through the end of her life, evident by the light in her eyes whenever she saw her granddaughter, Penny.

We want to invite everyone who knew Terry to come celebrate her life at Greer’s Mortuary of Sedona from 5 to 7pm on Wednesday, September 24th. The funeral service is at 10am at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Burial to immediately follow at the Sedona Community Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Terry’s family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
