Jane Young

Jane Young of the Village of Oak Creek passed away at home on November first. she was born in Abilene, Kansas May 23, 1941 and moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado with her family in 1957. She was a graduate of St. Mary's High School and Blair Business College in Colorado Springs. She worked for 30 years at Kaman Sciences Corporation as a Senior Technical Secretary and Administrative Assistant before retiring in 1996. Jane moved to Sedona in 2000.

Jane was lively, always ready to laugh with or comfort her many friends. She loved small children and never missed an opportunity to talk with them. She loved to travel, making many trips to foreign lands and seeing 49 states from the back of her husband's motorcycle. Jane was a member of a bowling team and several bridge clubs. She tutored English as a Second Language at her church, St. John Vianney.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Dennis Young, sister Ann Meiggs of Colorado Springs, son Adam (Malia)Supe and granddaughter Kiera of Piedmont, California, two step-sons, Jeremy (Corinne) Young, granddaughter Kylee, great grandson Sawyer, and Benjamin (Kathy) Young and grandchildren Genevieve and Bryce, all of Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents Leo and Edith Cusick, sister Mary and brother Mike, and son Greg Supe.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 180 St. John Vianney Lane, Sedona, AZ 86336 on Thursday, November 16th at 11:00 AM.
