Born in Chicago, he was a resident of Sedona since 2002.
He is survived by his wife Marlene of Sedona; son David Adams of Chicago; and sister Sandy Rowley of Mich.
Family and friends were received at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Sedona. A funeral will be held in Illinois followed by interment at the Windridge Cemetery in Cary, Ill.
