Howard Barry Packman

Howard Barry Packman, 79, of the Village of Oak Creek passed peacefully on May 24.

He was born and educated in Detroit, Michigan before serving in the Navy from 1953-1957.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ilaine Lorber Packman, sons Daniel Vance (Sandra), Kevin Scott (Sarah), James Jordan (Andrew Cohen), grandchildren Jonah, Sophie and Micah and brother Allan. He was a top Sales Representative for AAA Michigan for 39 years. Howard was an avid sailboat racer in the Great Lakes and a clarinetist with several community symphonies.

A Memorial Service is being held Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at the Jewish Community of Sedona and the Verde Valley, 100 Meadowlark Drive. Shiva will be held Wednesday and Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at home, 175 White Tail Drive, VOC. Remembrance tributes in lieu of flowers may be sent to the Rabbi's Discretionary Fund at the JCSVV or to support kidney transplant patients at the Arizona Transplant House, 5811 E. Mayo Blvd., Phoenix, AZ 85054.
