Grafton Paul Claus

Grafton Paul Claus, 72, of Sedona, passed peacefully on Saturday, May 5th, 2018, surrounded by friends and family. He is survived by his wife Shani, his sister Julie, and his two children: Darcie Haskins of Boulder, Colorado; and Chris Claus of San Diego, CA. He is also survived by his four grandchildren Asia and Della Claus, and Trinity and Logan Haskins.
Paul was born on April 18, 1946, to Paul and Jeanette (Lothrop) Claus in St. Louis, Missouri. He grew up loving the water and spent many hours water skiing, fishing, and boating. He was an avid traveler and explored the world with Shani, from Italy to Egypt to Peru and beyond. Paul loved music, good food, and great wine. But, above all else, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Paul owned and ran a custom home building business, building some of the most beautiful houses in Pine Top, Flagstaff, and Sedona. After he retired, Paul put his years of business experience to work at the Humane Society of Sedona, volunteering his time and ultimately serving as President for several years.
A celebration of Pauls life will be held on June 9th, at Seven Canyons, from 2pm to 5pm " please RSVP to [email protected] if you plan to attend. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Humane Society of Sedona.
