Ernesto Cortez
August 19, 1981 — September 26, 2025
Ernesto Cortez was born in San Salvador, El Salvador. He passed away surrounded by his family at the Flagstaff Hospital on the evening of September 26, 2025.
He is survived by his loving wife, Martina Diaz and step-son Fernando Diaz, and Step-daughters Alondra Diaz and Luz Del Carmen Diaz.
Ernesto emigrated to the United States to Sedona, Az 20 years ago. He loved Sedona but traveled back and forth to El Salvador to visit his mother, Lucia De Carmen Cortez who still lives in El Salvador.
He is additionally survived by many aunts and uncles and cousins who helped him transition to the United States.
He was a generous, caring, sincere man and will be truly missed by all.
