Emile 'Milo' Petit

August 13, 1927 — May 7, 2020

Emile, (his friends called him Milo) was born in Noumea, New Caledonia, a small island in the South Pacific on August 13, 1927.  After his education he served in the French Army and spent considerable time in Vietnam and his love of Vietnamese food never left him. He remained a connoisseur of fine cuisine his entire life.  After his discharge he returned to Noumea and embarked on his lifelong career with the Bank of Indosuez.  He worked in Tahiti, France, New Caledonia and spent his last six banking years on the island of Vanuatu where with his second wife Karen they witnessed the Independence celebration of that nation.  After his retirement to Australia in 1985, he became an avid golfer and was immensely proud of his two holes-in-one.  He had two children with his first wife; Dominique and Jean Marc; five grandchildren and was looking forward to the birth of his first great-grandchild. He had two step-children; Shelly and Toby, four granddaughters and one great-grandchild through them. He traveled extensively and had been around the world thirteen times.  He spent the remainder of his life in the states with his wife in Arizona, the past twenty in Sedona. He is survived by two wives, his children and grandchildren. No services are planned.
