David Singingbear

David Singing Bear, Eastern Band Cherokee Holy Man passed 12-31-12.
He was proceeded by his father, Robert Thompson, son Bobbie Thompson, and son Tekeeni Montez. He is survived by his mother Minnie Thompson, son Raqui Montez and grandsons, Braden, Logan, Connor and Ethan Montez.

David was an international teacher, healer, tribal historian, storyteller and ceremonial leader. He was the creator of the Bioridian healing technique. He traveled the world extensively with his wisdom teachings and helped the many people whose hearts he touched. David was a certified therapist and counselor with the following titles: Reiki Master, Doctor of Divinity, Doctor of Metaphysical Sciences, Licensed Minister, Mental Therapist and Counselor, LLC.

He was also a Veteran of the Viet Nam War who worked closely over the years with veterans with PTSD. David Singing Bear was featured on Lisa Ling's "Our America tribute to Veterans", on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

David was loved and respected by every single person he came in contact with.
His heart was always open with grace and compassion to anyone in need of his help and healing ways. His wisdom and work truly rippled out into the universe.

Though David will be greatly missed by his family, friends and the world, we will celebrate his teachings, wisdom and his life as he would want us to. We gather in celebration of the life of David Singing Bear. Aho!
