Born in the San Francisco Bay Area, David was a fiercely independent philosopher and rebel who loved living and walking beside Sedona's beautiful Oak Creek for the past 14 years.

After a protest-filled graduation at UC Berkeley in the 60's, he greatly enjoyed two year's service with the Peace Corps in the Philippines, followed by post-grad studies and then work in Stanford's Biology Department and a few years in Colorado.

David never walked away from a good argument or life-purpose discussion. Friends remember him as kind and gentle.

He was dearly loved by his parents, Leland and Marjorie Reyburn, as well as his brother Harold, and is survived by his four nieces and several cousins.
