Caryl, wife of Earl for 56 years, mother of Mickey, Stephen and Scott, grandmother of Amanda, Mathew, Nick, Jamar, Samantha , Kyle and Zach and great-grandmother of Abbie, Olivia and Grayson; passed peacefully with her husband by her side. Caryl, born in Queens, NY was raised in West Hempstead, where she met Earl in 1955. They were married in March, 1957 and lived in Bermuda for the next 2 years. In1959 the family lived in Columbus, OH for five months then spent 2 years in Michigan and were reassigned to Amarillo, TX in late 1962. In 1964, following Earls return from Vietnam, they were assigned to Hahn AB, Germany and resided in a small village for three years. In late 1967 through early 1969 Caryl and the boys stayed in Yonkers, NY while Earl was in Vietnam and joined him at Ramstein AB, Germany for the next four years. Following a 1973 assignment in Orlando, FL, the family relocated to Chandler, AZ in early 1974. Earl retired from the USAF in early 1976 and the family spent the next 14 years in Orange, CA, then downsized to a beach condo in Dana Point and a golf course condo in Palm Desert. After retiring in early 1995 Caryl and Earl played golf, visited children, cruised and traveled extensively for the next seven years. Caryl convinced Earl that Sedona was the perfect climate and they relocated to the Village in early 2002. Caryl has been the backbone of our entire family for three generations; she is dearly loved and cherished by all who knew her and is deeply missed.
