A Sedona resident since 1971, he served in the Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his wife Myrtle Virginia Burstyn.
He is survived by daughters Sandy (Bill) Meyer of Sedona, Teresa Burstyn (Michael Corvin) of Tempe and Rebekah Fairlight (Shane Byrum) of Sedona; son Larry Joe Burstyn of Cornville; sisters Dottie (Ed) Moran and Toni (Jesse) Sanke; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
According to his wishes, his ashes will be scattered at sea.
